Rom Com movie idea:
An asexual woman that has never had sex has a daughter (adopted) that is now old enough to want to have sex, and she asks her mother about it and the mother is like “Oh fuck I have no idea” and long story short this leads to a series of goofy antics as the mother decides that she is going to have sex so she can explain to her daughter exactly what it is like.
She meets a nice guy who everyone is always trying to get romantically involved with someone (he’s aromantic), the usual rom com bullshit ensues as they each try to have sex without really wanting sex, they eventually decide to have sex, and when that happens viewers are gonna be like ‘Ew gross, not curing asexuality and aromanticism bullshit’
BUT.
When it cuts to the next morning with the mother and dude in bed, the mother turns over and is all, “Yeah I’m still asexual.” and the dude turns over and is all, “Yeah I’m still aromantic.”
They smile at each other, become best friends, and eventually get married (because people can get married that don’t have sex, dangit) and on their wedding night they mess with anyone assuming they’re having sex by like, idk, something funny. Jumping on the bed? Exaggerated sex noises? Something. They’re married but not having sex because I want more of that in my goddamn rom coms.
(Should I call this an arom com? *snerk*)
So they finally sit down to have the sex talk with the daughter, and as the movie ends, the daughter says, “Oh I think I might be gay! What’s sex with a woman like, Mom?”
(The sequel would be about the Mother and Dude getting into a polyamorous relationship with a nice gay woman)
And that’s my idea, Hollywood. Fund me!
